HOME ALONE? Tips for Holiday Separation Anxiety

Ever left your pup at home for a nice Holiday outing, only to return to a scene from Home Alone? It’s hard to not say, “Look what you did, you little jerk!” Don’t be too hard on your pup this holiday season… They might suffer from separation anxiety!

What is Separation Anxiety?

Separation Anxiety is when your dog shows signs of extreme stress when left alone. Some signs include:

  • Accidents inside
  • More howling and barking than normal
  • Excess drool
  • Obsessive panting
  • Escape attempts

This is how your dog says, “Will you please tell Santa that instead of presents this year, I just want my family back.”

Here are a few ways to help your dog not feel like Kevin Mccallister this year!

Yup Pup has the treats that treat. Both chamomile and hemp extract have a calming effect on dogs that help to naturally reduce anxiety for up to 6 hours.

Give your dog extra exercise

Exercise stimulates your dog mentally, reduces anxiety, and over-all improves their mood and behaviors.
