This is an independent, nonprofit agency that offers animal care and services for homeless animals in the community. The PHS takes in about 12,000 animals each year from a variety of places and cities near Pasadena. It’s an open door agency, so they accept all animals in the area regardless of breed, medical condition, or age. The goal is to provide care and shelter for thousands of animals that have no place to go.
