Five Tips for Camping With Your Dog

Who doesn’t love stepping away from the hustle and bustle of life and spending time out in nature? Being a dog parent comes with some extra responsibility, especially when vacationing in the great outdoors. That’s why we put together a few tips and tricks to make sure both you and your furry friend enjoy camping with minimal worries and maximum relaxation.

1) Choose a dog friendly campsite

Believe it or not, not all campsites are dog friendly. Don’t wait until you’re at the park entrance and the ranger tells you to head back home because the huge puppy eyes sadly didn’t work. Make sure you educate yourself on the status of park policies beforehand, and pick a campsite that welcomes your furry friend.

2) Prep & pack in advance

It’s so easy to forget something important when packing in a rush! Take your time, and make a well-thought out check list – dog food, water bowl, waste bags, etc. Think about everything your pup uses at home, and then think about what they also might need while traveling. Don’t forget the first aid kit!

3) Make sure their vaccinations are up-to-date

Although this might not be checked at the campsite, it’s crucial to your dog’s health & other the doggos around them that they’re vaccinated while exploring the great outdoors.
